We are currently anchored just outside Kota Kinabalu and undergoing some repairs to the lounge and restaurant area. After the repairs we will move to Palau Mantanani
With a coastline of 1,440km and the gathering of the three seas that wash her shores, namely the South China, Celebes and the Sulu, contain some of the most sought after pristine islands and reefs in Asia. Many of the islands around Sabah are marine parks where baby reef sharks play in the shallows and turtles come to shore to lay their eggs. Idyllic tropical hideaways like Sipadan Island well known from the explorations of Jacques Cousteau. When Cousteau visited Palau Sipadan in the seventies, he was so impressed with its marine life that he and his team of divers stayed on for six months to explore and record its spectacular marine creatures. Sipadan Island is located in the Celebes Sea about 32km from Semporna. It is a 35 acre top of an offshore pinnacle which drops vertically to some 600m. There are many other astonishing islands like Palau Tiga, dubbed ‘Survivor Island’ after the TV show ‘Survivor’, the Turtle islands or Selingan, Pulau Gaya, Mabul, Kapalai, Layang-Layang, Lankayan, Palau Bangi ,the list goes on
