The Orient Explorer is a nostalgic vessel, suited for intimate dive cruises and explorations. A floating hotel of old-world charm. The MY Orient Explorer is a unique ship in a class all her own. Originally built as a naval vessel, she has later transformed into a passenger ship.Before relocating to the orient she sailed as m/v Orion in Scandinavian waters.Her length overall is 56,5 meters, with a breadth of 10 meters and a registered gross tonnage of 796 tons and t 40 m3 for fresh water. Twin screws are powered by two 900 hp GM Diesel engines enabling her to cruise at 10 knots.

The MY Orient Explorer is equipped with GPS, radar and auto-pilot. For safety, the Orient Explorer carries two self-powered lifeboats and nine life rafts with food and water. Communication is provided by VHF, SSB radio and satellite telephone. A well-stocked sickbay is situated on the main deck. Experienced crew and Scandinavian safety standards guarantee a safe and secure voyage
